BikerMonkey Extreme Texas Adventure, Oct 19, 2013BikerMonkey’s Extreme Texas Adventure 2013

Benefits Arms of Hope

The BikerMonkey’s Extreme Texas Adventure – 1,000 is a fun SaddleSore ride with some special challenges while raising funds for Arms of Hope, a non-profit organization in Medina, Texas.

Arms of Hope Background

Arms of Hope operates as a residential childcare facility (orphanage), helps single mothers and their children transition into bright futures, conducts family outreach and an outreach ministry to underprevillaged and at risk children in neighborhoods. My description here doesn’t do this group justice, please check out their website. We have done a ride in the past for this awesome group of folks and just couldn’t leave them out of the 2013 line up of great rides; especially with Christmas coming up.
Why Is This 1,000 Mile Ride Different?

Okay, you might be thinking, “I can do 1,000 miles with my eyes closed,” we bet you can but probably not adviseable. We see this as the last Extreme BikerMonkey ride for the season, because the Christmas charity rides will be starting up really soon; so we made this one a challenge. Here is the deal, yes, it is a Saddle 1,000 ride but this one has a points system too!

There will be places of interest some on the route and many off the beaten path, all of which are worth points with some worth more than others. The person that does the 1,000 miles in 24 hours or less with the most points will receive a special BikerMonkey surprise and we ain’t talking just a t-shirt.

This is not a race, this requires a person to think before chasing down a photograph and hurting their time for a safe and productive ride. Almost forgot, this ride includes 2/3 of the 3 Sisters; couldn’t make all 3 this time, LOL……

This BikerMonkey ride is different than most. First of all, you can earn two certificates this time, rather than just the Iron Butt Association certification. That’s right, your registration of $50.00 as a rider or $25.00 as a passenger will qualify you once you successfully complete the ride a BikerMonkey certificate and rider’s pin! Of the gross proceeds, 50% will be donated on your behalf to Arms of Hope and 10% of the total proceeds will be going to the Big Guy’s house..

This ride will also qualify you for a SaddleSore certification, however, this is an additional $50.00; which is IBA’s cost for processing not ours. If there are any price breaks given based on number of riders from the $50.00 registration, we will include 100% of the difference to Arms of Hope as additional funds raised. If you choose to qualify for the SaddleSore, then simply include this payment with your registration and we will take care of all of the paperwork for you and submit it on your behalf. You will in turn receive the IBA certification, pin and IBA backplate once IBA has qualified the ride details.

Let’s recap shall we?

We are talking for $100.00, you get….. 2 certifiicates, 2 riding pins and a license backplate.

Or for $50.00, you get…. a very cool BikerMonkey Certifiicate and a riding pin.

Either way you go, you get awesome fellowship with some crazy extreme biker peeps, bragging rights and self satisfaction that you have helped a great group and lots of awesome children!
